The Lassen Fire Safe Council has acquired over $20 million for fire suppression projects in Northern Lassen County - this means a reduction of fire fuels at no cost to landowners and jobs for our local economy. Later this year the Fire Safe Council will be submitting a grant application for the Dyer Mountain Initiative project (this project includes Pinetown, Westwood, Clear Creek and Hamilton Branch) when the program is rolled out later this year for 2020. Grant success depends on participation of local people (signing the petition). If anyone would like to be involved with getting signatures please let me know.
