BOIL WATER ADVISORY

Boil Water Update:

After spending all day Friday inside the springhouse retrieving what we initially thought was the issue for the boil water notice, we discovered that two beavers/otters had made a home inside the springhouse.

After making multiple calls throughout the day, we were finally able to locate a trapper. However, before any removal can take place, we must first obtain a depredation permit through the California Department of Fish and Wildlife, formerly known as Fish and Game. We have been advised that this is not a quick process.

Additionally, if the animals are confirmed to be otters, they are a protected species, and the permitting/removal process could take a little longer.

We understand this is frustrating and inconvenient, and we are doing everything we can to move the process forward as quickly and safely as possible. We will continue to provide updates as more information becomes available.
